Ms. Megan Gil is an associate attorney at Lee & Peynado Immigration Law Group. She is from Miami, Florida of Cuban descent. She attended Florida State University, where she graduated with dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and English Literature. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Megan worked at the Florida House of Representatives and worked for the Governor of Florida upon her graduation. These experiences sparked her interest in a career in law. She later attended Florida International University College of Law. During law school, Ms. Gil participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where she had the opportunity to represent clients in their removal proceedings and gained invaluable insight into the immigration system.
She has been working in the field of Immigration Law since her second year of law school and she has a strong passion for immigration defense. She has represented clients before the Immigration Court, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Enforcement and Removal Operations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Being the grandchild of immigrants, Ms. Gil is committed to advocating for the immigrant community. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
